On an Exploring SD Hiatus Adventure
Another unplanned blogging break, it’s been an ever-changing, busy, and amazing 2012! Getting back to the basics; Focusing on selling Real estate
and discovering previous personally uncharted San Diego landmarks and venues… to get to know the city and appreciate our surroundings that much more.
To start this string of upcoming blog posts I’ll first mention the Three Sisters Waterfalls hike I did last month. I’m pretty familiar with East of San Diego(East of Alpine, etc), but I had no idea this place existed until recently. Located in Pine Valley and boasting 3 water falls, this hike is a little off the beaten path but actually simple to get to, and an awesome hike. It’s do-able for beginners, but be prepared… it’s no Cowles Mtn trip : ). Great for moderately experienced hikers.

Can’t believe this is is in our neighborhood! It’s amazing. The hike itself is about 4-5 miles round-trip (I’m seeing different amounts on google), all ages can do it, but there are some steep areas; take water and snacks.
To get to 3 Sister’s: Take I8 to Highway 79 towards Julian. Turn right to Descanco and turn left followed by an immediate right at the gas station. From here Boulder Creek Road takes you to the trailhead 13 miles along a mostly dirt road(suitable for cars when it’s not rainy anyways). The trail heads West for a mile and you should see the falls to your right.
